Never owned BMW before but looked real close @ a Bavaria back in '73. Now in looking for a "drive to work"car, a dealer-friend has an 85 735i. Seems real nice with 133k miles showing. Starts and drives ok, but been sitting a lot for the last year on his lot. Says he has $3500 in it. While the car fits me and looks pretty clean, I can't afford an expensive to maintain car. My questions: What should i look for; will it be good for another 100k miles; or should I keep looking for an American car? After reading through the postings here, I'm just not sure. Any qualified advice is greatly appreciated.,,,,,king

Oh, for got to mention all the markings inside are in German. How do I figure out what everything is?...Thanks,,,king
