Spencer, I share your passion for BMWs and for E23s in particular but I am also aware that maintaining an E23 can be a horrendous financial experience if one is not familiar with aftermarket resellers, scrap yards, etc. who sell replacement parts. I remember the horror of being quoted over $1300 for a fuel pump by a local BMW dealer here in Toronto. I later found a garage that fitted a good used pump for $150 parts and labour included!

Well if everything inside is in German then you've found a Euro 735i with, I think 218bhp, I could be wrong though. If I were in your position, I'd be stupid not to pick this car up. Face it, any "older" car will need routine parts and maintenence, but a BMW is a special car, worth a special treatment, it just wishes that it's owner is up to the task. If you aren't, then a BMW is not for you, I'm on my 2nd 7series and they are wonderful cars, if you buy it, then I hope you enjoy it, you will not be disappointed with the awesome integration of luxury and performance working hand-in-hand.
