I never "officially" raced my '81 728i, but I have raced it on backroads and wide gravel roads to a fair amount of sucess(you won't have a hope in hell of beating anything with an "//M"), though it was still stock with the beefy TRX's on. it's fun to try to control that backend on loose gravel! Go for it, when lightened up, the 184bhp should be a little more noticable. Make sure it's a manual tranny!!!!!! autos aren't fun.
