James, according to all the comanies I have talked to, the E23 can fit 17x8.5 rims, but not 18 rims. I do not know why, but that's just what I was told. I'm sure with the right offest, any wheel will fit on theis car though, the wheel wells are quite large! I just don't have $2000 to spend on rims and do the research.
