My problem is I can lock all doors from driver's side.
However, in order to unlcok all doors, I have to do from the passenger's side.
The problem is either the door lock actuator or the control unit (the control unit is directly under the instrument cluster to the left side, accessible by removing the cover at your knee level, by removing the 3 phillips screws).

The E30 has a nice webiste anf troubleshooting the CLS (Central Locking System)is there.

Hi,

This is my first post. This is the first 7 series I have owned and I just have a couple of questions. The car is in great shape with 155k on it. The interior is very nice except that the left side of the drivers seatback is tilted back. I was told that this is just a broken cable internally. Is this true and is it hard to fix? Also I can unlock all of the doors with the drivers door key but I cannot lock them. I have to do that from the passenger side. Is this hard to fix? TIA! It looks like you have a great board!
