those two batteries are for the service indicator lights (red,yellow,green) have them replaced, there is a speed sensor on the rear differential check to see if the wire has been disconnected,and have the sensor checked out, if all above doesnt solve problem you may have a faulty inst cluster. but start with replacing the batteries first, hope this helps if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
