I think it is just old hard crusty hoses and (hence) loose clamps. I went out and fiddled around with all the low pressure connections, pumped the break pedal about 20 times until it was hard, and had to mop up a bunch of ATF all over the driveway. :-)

I'm replacing the (low-pressure) hoses today and will see how the clamps are holding.

BTW, there isn't any leaking around the pump. What I was seeing was dripping down from the hoses to the steering box. The pump is dry. :-)

I'm still a little new to this car (bought it in November), so finding where everything is at is an adventure. I just ordered the original service manuals as I feel the Chilton's manual isn't worth being used to pick up my german shepherd's gifts...
