Press the avg mph button, enter a value for max speed. The red light should come on next to the button. You'll hear the gong when you exceed max speed, and the light will blink. Post 1985 OBC is different.

Does anyone know the procedure for setting max speed warning on an 84 733i obc.I have not had the car for long and it is so smooth that I found myself exceeding the speed limit by 20-30mph without noticing.Please help before the police do.
