Remember, it's all about the reflector (and glass too). No matter what kind of bulb you put in the NA lights, you still have poor reflector design working against you. The reflector design (and glass) of the Hellas and Cibies is what makes them far superior. Europeans take lighting seriously, not sure what the problem with the NHTSA is ... let's not go there.

I've got Cibie's and they are awesome. Hellas are great too. Just make sure they are E-code spec. A good source for Cibies (his site is still up) is Dan Stern at the link below.

The PIAA stuff is almost-snake-oil IMNHO - except it's pricey to boot.

Does anyone know of a way to convert the sealed beam headlight system to a halogen one (the one with the small replaceable bulbs, not sealed beams) and if its possible what parts are needed? Or better yet if any company makes Sealed beams that are like "Super whites"? I wanna put "super whites" in to get better vision, I out drive my headlights and brights!!! Also the brights switch is broken making night time "American autobahn" driving while holding the switch on is getting too dangerous...any info will greatly help.

Thanks,
~James

(Note: The safety of others is top priority to me while I'm driving, especially when going that fast)
