The prices are monthly costs for lease take-overs. Not exactly a deal either way.

I bought a 1980 7 series grey market car today for a couple hundred bucks.

I only bought the car for the 5 speed,(clutch is shot). Rear trunk badge says 733i but since this is a grey market car (BAR stickers/CA DMV plate is on door post),how do I tell if this car is a 728i, 732i or 735i? I thought that BMW only used the 733i designation for the NA market.
Interior is trashed, fenders have some rust. Car is usuable for parts only. Engine turns, but battery is to far run down to start.

What's the story on the grey market cars. I checked out the web site and found over 50 cars priced around or less than $500. They we're all 96 to 98 325i's? Have these been in wrecks? Curious minds want to know.
