In response to your comment about your friend being charged $50 for checking the system. Why would expect it to be diagnosed for free? The shop has bills to pay and the tech needs to earn a living as well. If the tech doesn't charge for the diagnosis then he has just given away his time, to check and possibly fix your car for nothing. Is that fair?

A friend went there for battery replacement and after being told they would call with a price before doing ANYTHING, they tried to charge $50 for "checking" the car. They wanted $260 for the new battery--ha ha. I guess they thought they could at least get the $50....
be cautious of their scam. (see archives for more unhappy dealings with this dealer.....)
