Hi, I've been having a long running problem with my 1980, 732i. Something seems to be causing the rear brakes to slowly lock up. This seems to happen in slow moving traffic eg lots of traffic lights and very little movement and also after turning the car off. For example - tonight I went out to buy some pizza for dinner (a fifthten minute drive) after ordering and waiting for ten minutes I went back to the car and the rear brakes were locked solid. I couldn't move the car and the brake pedal would go in a little way then get hard. After waiting about 30 - 45 minutes the brakes loosened up themselves and I could drive home. This probably sounds like a problem with the brake bomb, but this has been replaced along with a reconditioned brake booster. I've taken my car to my regular garage about 3-4 times with this problem but them can't seem to fix it. While common sense says I should probably get rid of it, it is way too nice of a car and so nice to drive to get rid of. So if anyone has any suggestions and managed to read all of this long plurb please reply to this posting or email me. One other thing, this problem only occured after having the rear brake pads and rotors replaced. I really just want my car to be reliable so I can go get pizza and drive confidently through peak hour traffic

Thanks in advance
Michael Rennie
