It's a bit of a job and there are a few tricks. First remove the inside trim panels. Remove glass with two nuts at bottom of carrier. If you just want to remove the cylinder, and not the whole handle, take a flat head screwdriver and snap a retaining clip off the heated lock mechanism. Unplug elelctric to heated lock. Now for the tricky part. Rotatate the heated lock mechanism 90 degrees and it will come out leaving the lock cyclinder right there for you. Make sure the chrome cover is on the cylinder tight or all your tumblers and springs will come flying out and you have another (different) job ahead of you. You can remove the handle at this time with the two nuts holding the handle to the door as well as one screw (machine) which holds the lever which actually opens the door. When you get everything back together lubricate every moving part with a jell (fuller bodied than penetrating or wd-40) lubricant to keep everything working smoothly. I spent 5 hours R & R since I had to rebuild the cylinder at the same time. I didn't know about rotating 90 degrees and messed everything up. If you know what you're doing or get lucky, it can be done in a couple of hours. good luck steve, Happy Easter! How do I get the lock out of the door, drivers side? Any one?
