I am not 100% sure on 16's, but I have 245/45 17's on the 745 and that is about max using the late model 5 series 17x8 wheels. Aftermarket stuff may not give you as much, but if you go with these wheels and the above mentioned size that is going to do it. You could put larger like 17x10s on the back as the car will take it and 275/40 17's but I do not like that staggered look and you could never rotate the tire. 16's would probably be more than likely be 225 50 16's on a 16x8.

If I go with 16x7.5 or 8's on my 735, how wide of a tire can I use without rubbing. I want to be able to seat 4 people and turn without any problems. The BMW people and the BMW salvage yards all say 15x7 but I think I can go larger. By the way, how much do you think that 745 would go for on the open market. Looking at that car is making me want to sell my 735 and get a turbo!!
