745i questions(my surprise 732) (archive)

Finally went and picked up the 1982 732 that I was pretty much buying unseen; It is kinda raggy windows
and sunroof left partially open while it sat outside
guess they didn't know about switch under steering column.
Anyway it is a 745i but turbo doesn't seem to be working
completely can only get car up to 100 mph on downgrade
no feel of power greater than my old 318i(1981) almost
as much acceleration as a fast moped.Suggestions?
where is good place to have turbo rebuilt and what about
the upgrades That people have been referring to as far
as upgrading waste gate . It is an older model 1982 year.
What kind speed should I see reference rpm either kph or
mph(it is the 3 speed automatic) thanks for any help
