'79 733i Should / Should not buy (archive)

I have a 79 733i available in my area for around $3K
About 173K on the odo. And in almost immaculate condition.
The only reason the price is so high is $2K worth of stereo installed by the owner.
Bought from his father, who owns 3 7 series ranging from 88-95. Always babied, and garage kept.

I think I can haggle him down to $2200, myabe less.
what's your opinion?
