The way to fix this RIGHT is to buy the self leveling elimination kit from Bavarian auto. You will alos need to purchase a set of 735 rear springs and a good set of shocks. I recommend bilsteins, but if you buy these you MUST change the front at the same time. If you do not want to invest in bilsteins, just buy some run-o-the-mill cheap boge's or monroe, etc as you will not want to oversuspension the rear if you plan on not touching the front with bilsteins, but if you put bilsteins on all 4 corners, you will not beleive what they do for your car... Its better than buying a new car! After you do this, I recommend taking the car in for a 4 wheel alignment, but have seen some cases where the alignment was right on after I have done this if the car was right to begin with, with just the level ride shot or the rear sagging.
If you already have the self level elimination kit and have the 735 springs in back, you may need to put some rubber spacers in the rear springs to raise the car an inch or two. These cost $4.00 and are avalible at most autoparts. You can put them in by simply jacking up the car by the body and allowing the rear spring extend in order to get these in by hand.
Has anyone been able to corect the possitive camber on the rear axle of a 86' 745i? Mine is so bad I'm going through a set of tires every 5000 miles. It has the auto leveling rear end. I thought when we changed the axle bearings it would help , not. Any suggestions!
