dash light (archive)

82 745 between speedo and tach above fuel guage
with turn signal indicater on each side is a triangle
light(looks similiar to a hazard light) it is flashing
what is wrong. also ondash on left side of ashtray
is a switch with 2 arrows top one pointing down and bottom pointing up so that pionts are almos hitting what is this
for(self-leveling system?) I am not framiliar with gadgets
as my 735i has manual windows crank sunroof etc.
