Sounds like your evaporator is freezing up. You said it works great at first than after a hour and fifteen minutes it starts to loose effciency. Evaporator is probably turning into a block of ice. you may need a new expansion valve or temperature sensor it's letting to much freon into evaporator. Try driving around with a good thermometer in your vent outlet. Does it get below freezing or even slightly above freezing? It should be about 36-38 degrees If its less it probably freezing up the condensation.

I have spent over $1,500 on a/c repairs and still it only works on occasion? We changed some A/C/heater valve under the dash, the wheels on the dash, used button panel system and lots of other things.

The thing blows great, better than ever before. But exactly one hour and fifteen minutes into great comfort the thing slowly shuts off? I almost took the car to the junk yard last week and had it crushed! I lost it. It has been in the shop for over 3 months trying to fix this F---- car. I am so mad that I am about to walk away from BMWs forever and that is all I have driven for 21 years.

We are at a loss? If you let the car sit for about two hours it works great. But, one hour and fifteen minutes later no air? Anyone please help. We are in a drought here in Florida and I am about to put a match to this wonderfully restored bimmer.
