Unfortunatly all turbo cars are subject to this and that is why most "old school" turbos are automatics as sticks are just to difficult and slow on these turbos. GNX, TA 745 and all the "fast" turbos of that era are autos. Now you can get overly complex and not faster with sequential, but I draw the line on those.


I know of a guy from the Seven Series Digest that did a tranny swap. He was running 16 psi boost and had severe lag. To overcome it, he changed out the rear end to a 3.45 and installed nitrous oxide. The nitrous kicks in only when activated by the kick down solenoid.
