On my wife's 735i it's inside the instrument cluster. Do a search in the board archives keywords "instrument" and "cluster" (or "panel"). You should be able to find detailed instructions on how to remove and replace. Words of advice: proceed with care the first time you do this. Some of the dials (especially temp and fuel gauge dials) are very fragile. It's not a hard job, just takes a little time and some patience. Let me know if you don't find the information in the archives, and I'll scout it out for you.
