Just pulled mine last weekend. Very simple. Save yourself some grief by removing steering wheel. Remove three screws above dials on dash trim.
Pull out the clusiter, it is one unit. There are three large connectors, one lamp unit and a ground connection to pull. The yellow and blue connectors have a black tab you must pull first to unlock connector from receptacle.
To strip the unit, remove five screws from back.
Tach and speedo are placed on offset PCB connectors. The service board has two/three screws holding it to assembly.
I presume aone of the instruments are erratic or failing. If this is so, try conecting/disconnecting all connections to scratch off surface oxidization. and reassemble unit and steering. This is what I did last week, and all instruments work correctly since.
