Re: Thinking of buying 1985

Boy, I never imagined my post would generate so
many responses and all the responses are
definitely appreciated. I have to admit I am very
confused and need time to sort out all that's
been offered in the posts. It's obvious that the
car I looked at is considered to be over priced,
and could have problems that need attention that
aren't obvious from a test drive. If I wanted
transportation with little upkeep, I'd be driving
a Honda, but that's boring, so I think I'm going
to continue to shop around for an appropriate
middle 80's, 7 series. Thanks for all the help.

I'm thinking of buying a 1985 - 735i with 125k on the clock
for $5500 bucks. The car seems in very good condition and
currently the A/C is working properly. From reading this
board, the A/C seems to be a major problem with this year
and model. Are there any big bucks other problems common
to this model. Any insight would be great. Thanks
