Gentlemen,
several questions;
1st In the 735i are there seperate fan motors for heating and AC as in other bmw models?
2nd Can any one list locations for the associated fuses and relays.
3rd Does any one know the best way to access (this/these)
fan(s).
A little background for you. The climate control switches and LEDs appear to function.
The AC compressor clutch engages and the system has an R12 freon precharge. The aux fan mounted in front of the condensor operates, as well as the vacum pump on the left fender well. When travelling down the road forced induction will produce cooler than ambient air through the AC outlets. only no blower operation in any control configuration. The owner states that occasionally the blower would come on but has not for a month or so. I'm of the opinion that there may be a bad winding on the armature of the fan motor or coroded contacts in a fan relay or possibly a problem in the fan control switch. Having little expirence with this particular model and its specific component locations and limited technical data any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
