It is all I have ever used and all that should be used in a Turbo Motor. I have blown up turbo's before b/c of my lack of Synthetic oil. The synthetic oil resists the coking that can happen to conventional oils when subjected to Turbo Temps in excess of 1200 Deg. I have seen turbo's on dinomometers that the whole Turbo is glowing red and the only part that is not orange/red is the middle bearing being cooled by oil. I don't think that A conventional oil could stand up to that type of heat. Mobil one 15W-50 all the time!

I just switched to Mobil 1 15-50 last week. It seems to be fine. My 745i owners guide said it was fine, and it seemed to fit the temp. range in New england. Mine has always run cool though, but I do not know how to measure the turbo temp.
Thanks
Dave
