I dont believe the nicad batteries have anything to do with it. My guage was running accurately with no nicads or service indicator at all! I would suspect the sender unit in the tank but it would be worth checking the OBC fuel remaining reading to see whether this is accurate. If it IS then the problem is not likely to be the sender

Hi Guys,

I've noticed of late the fuel gauge is starting to underead. ie when I fill the gas tank to the brim, the car only shows 80L, it used to show 100L when fuel.

Do NiCd batteries inside the instrument cluster influence the behaviour of the fule gauge?
