I would not drive a 3 or a 5 series for that matter. I have also posted on this board long enough and with helpful enough info that people e-mail me at times asking for advice and how to. I used to drive for the Kendar Race team out of Wisconsin. I learned to drive in a "vett and shortly after that a Jag. Then on to a BMW--and one ever since. I often leave people in the dust----I comute 30-60 miles one way everyday in the fast lane on the autobahn--I am American stationed in Germany right now---at speeds over 130K(that's 80mph and up folks)(most times at 100+ mph.)
Yup the seven is a masculin car--the car not the drivers per say. I call my car he and my German Mechanic(when I need him) calls it a he as well.
Get a grip guys--park the maco at the door. One day you may be looking at a black 733i sitting on an m suspension with the 3.5 engine and notice the driver is female the next thing you'll see are my cars tail lights!
Sorry fellas if you thought I was male, it's the name. Doubt I'm female--go to www.wildchildpublishing.com look under the author index---SRHowen--yup that's me. And i am only 5'4". I lift weights so I won't go into the weight issue but I'm not very big.
As to why your wives won't drive your seven--well guys with your macho attitude I am sure she is stroking your inflated ego just to keep the peace and no one likes a back seat driver. My hubby follows this advice--get in, sit down, buckle up, shut up and hang on. It's my car and he rarely drives it unless he has to.(he doesn't like to drive it)
