Sounds like carfax needs to tighten up their system, although it would be nice if they didn't have to. It's a shame you have to even deal with an issue like this.

As in other post, I also use a yahoo account for all of this type of computing, so that when I find myself on mailing lists (SPAM), I can simply close the account on my computer.

I realize this is a little different issue, but you can waste an awful lot of personal time chasing down these sorts of things.
