GREETINGS, I'M CURRENTLY SWAPPING AN ENGINE IN MY 1979 733I MANUAL WITH AN ENGINE FROM A 1982 735. HAVING ESTABLISHED THAT I WON'T ENCOUNTER ANY MAJOR MOUNTING ISSUES IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THE MOTRONIC/PRE-MOTRONIC PROBLEMS I COULD RUN INTO. I HAVE HEARD BMW WENT MOTRONIC DURING 1982 IS THIS TRUE AND IF SO DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ENGINE NUMBERS SO I CAN IDENTIFY IF I HAVE A MOTRONIC ENGINE. IF MY ENGINE WAS MOTRONIC AND I WANTED TO USE MY EXISTING FUEL INJECTION SETUP DO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY CAMSHAFT OR ANYTHING ELSE ? THANKS IN ADVANCE.
