Hi everybody,

I LOVE my E23...i will keep them for LIFE....and my question is , what's the best way of driving that will keep those engines in better condition long term ?

Should i drive my 735iA like a Grandpa ?never going over 2000 rpms and being ever so gentle ( slow ) in stoplights acceleration ? and on the highway just cruise steadily between 1700 and 2000 rpms ? OR is the engine going to be too carbonized by this granpa driving and it's better to cruise at 3000 rpms ? or 4000 ? ...etc ???

I often give my bimmer full throttle , not letting it change before it reaches 6000 rpms and i often drive it at the top speed ( 5000-6000 rpms ) for extended periods of time ( being ever so lucky )...is that bad for the engine ? does the car have enough camshaft/engine lubrication at those speeds ?

I AM in turmoil !!!! SHould i drive it like a BMW or like a citroen 2CV ???? to drive or not to drive that is the question !!!! please help , and remember that my objective is to keep that car forever....
