Sounds like you're a few miles away from a snapped shaft and lots of smoke. Ask me how I know.

I had mine rebuilt a few years back in Houston for $700. The KKK is the same one used on the Porsche, but with different mounting flange. Everything I've heard says that it is probably the best choice for the 745.
