Hi ppl , a friend of mine gave me a part for my BMW , i don't know anything about its condition and i don't know what it is , it looks like a computer brain with the following inscription on it :

Made in Germany (078)
4492445

I typed these # in my BMW parts cd and there was nothing.
anybody knows what is it ? it's a medium sized rectangular mettallic box with a weird plastic extension on the side... i'm in complete darkness here...could it be the ABS brain ?
