There's some retrofitting that's required but it can be done. That's what I've done to a 635 engine while I'm rebuilding my 745 motor. And because the non-745 3.5 has a higher compression than the 745 3.5 it produces a lot more power even at the stock 6psi boost. You are forced to use premium gas from now on but that isn't so bad.

what do you guys think about me putting a turbo on my 3.5 ? i hurd you cAN USE THE turbo's from the 745 but i just wanted to hear what you guys think i should do because i have a e12 5 series with a 3.5 swap and 4spd tranny so let me know
