Josh, you didn't mention your State of residence. Be sure to check with the enviro regulators before you do anything like this. In CA, you can replace an existing engine with one from a later year than the car itself provided you retain ALL the smog equipment that came with the later engine. You cannot replace the existing engine with one from a previous year.
