This was one of the symptoms I just went through with mine. Can you wiggle the rotating fan control switch from on to off? Try going just past the off point and wiggle back and forth. If the system comes on and off sporadically, you may get off lucky and only have to clean the contacts. Email me before you take apart to clean the contacts.
