The 735 engineers must have thought that the starter would never have to be replaced on a 735! This is one of the hardest parts that I have tried to remove and it still isn't loose. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!!!! I have removed two 17mm bolts and if my life depended on it I cant find any others. How many bolts hold that darn thing on there? I've gotten this far without removing the intake manifold and there is a limit to how far I can feel around the starter for more bolts. Someone else has had to have run in to this most frustrating thing. WHAT IS THE SECRET?
Hi GEL,
You have done the hard part, now make sure all the wires are disconnected and it should come out. I will say in my experience the starter is heavy and tends to bind up so you need to pull it straight
out. Again it is a tight fit but don't give up it will come out.
