What to replace ? (brake question) (archive)

What's wrong with it : when i brake , and the car is near stopping , the pedal shifts/jumps to a new resistance/pressure level....it's like the brake has two different planes , or like the rear brakes just kicked in ( the rear end squats at the same time )...pretty weird huh ? i don't even know if that is the correct description for what i am sensing.Anybody had this prob. before ?

I already got a brake bomb on order by the way.
