i need to replace the middle core plug under exhaust manifold on my 735i.
is this job a pain or has someone found an easy way to do this.

Nigel,
To the best of my knowledge the engine comes out to do this. Don't ask how I know this! Maybe someone will share a secret that I didn't discover. I assume yours is "weeping". If so the freeze plug is rusting and weak.
