My '79 733i aux fan runs from as soon as ignition is turned on till shut off. Will go off when fuse is removed @ fuse block. Temp switches on radiator are as follows: top switch is red terminals w/ gr/br and yel/br wires. Bottom is white terminals w/ gr/br and bl/wh wires. this appears upside down from normal( according to archived posts on this subject) Would this make a difference? (wires correct,
switches upside down) what else could cause this? Car runs
cool with or without fan, even with air on! please help solve mystery!!! thanks up front! Griffith--7er Oregon

turn the fan on. One is for normal speed and one is for high speed. One of them may be stuck in the "contacted" position.
