From what I am lead to believe; The 745i can have some type of modification to them to pass California emissions. . . but it is expensive. I bought my 745i Executive from California (I live in Texas) because the seller didn't want to spend 3 grand to get it up to the emissions standards for California. My 745i Executive was licensed in Washington, and came with letters from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the United States Environmental Protection Agency that were written to prove compliance status of imported vehicles for registration purposes. The seller sent them to me along with the title in the event I would need them for registration. In Texas, I didn't need them. My car passed State inspection, and that's all they required here in Texas.
Good luck!

Hello all.
I am looking for a good 745i for a long time.
They are hard to find and especially in one particular state.
My question is:
Can you kindly tell me will a 745 pass the emission inspection
in California if I buy it in the other state?
Or the expensive encancement will be needed? I just found one
in Texas but I start concerning about this.
I think you guys know everything about those cars and can give me the right advice.
Thank you in advance.
Regards.
Victor.
