Replaced SI Batteries (now Flickering??) (archive)

Today, i decided to replace the batteries for the SI indicator. I removed the old batteries and then add a clip holder for the batteries, so it would be easier to replace if i had to again. So then i put it all back together, and turn the car on, and the SI lights(green ones) and the Inspection light are flickering, and do not go off. Once in awhile, the first, green LED will go off, but then come back on. What could be the problem? Thanks
