First off, it may be that you have the incorrect year model lights. The early year models, 82 and earlier, lights do not interchange with the later years, 83 and up (although it does sound like you "made" them work). As far as the fuse blowing, if I remember correctly, the euro lights draw more amperage and consequently, need higher rated relays and fuses. My 733 came with the "big eye" lights and I can not use the relays from the same year US parts car I have.

I was trying to change my headlights from stock to the "big eye" set I got. The problem is that the lamps (low beams) don't plug into the wiring harness. I tried using individual spades wired from each wire and the fuse blew. Any suggestions? TIA.
