New pads and new front rotors. New Boge sport shocks & struts. New fan clutch. Several new coolant hoses.

In addition to all of these little parts, I have taken the front seats out to fix a wobble. Then, I discovered the front seat on the mounting point was all rusted. So, then I had to take the carpet out, sand & weld new metal, prime, seal, & paint the new mounting point.

I've repainted the grills and bumpers black since this pic was taken and have restained the wood inside. I must have waxed 20 times in addition to polishing the car as needed. There was a needed front hood and front fenders respray.

Once every couple of months, I recondition the leather seats.

Last as I recall, but not least, thanks to Jens immense knowledge and willingness to help, I fixed the HVAC. Needed, new vacuum pump, new vacuum lines, and 4.5 days of my labor. I cleaned the fan switch and push button controls (a bitch to get each back together) with electrical contact cleaner. While I had the dash out, I also took the wooden door panels out and refinished them along with the center console wood. A nice dark stain with four nicely sanded clear coats and this really looks great!

There are still things I need to do: replace the rubber supports under the air meter, refinish the wheels, new steering box, a new headliner, but she is coming along.

My intent is not to scare you with all of this, but to give you an idea of what may be expected. Once you get your car, and start to replace some parts, you can run into some money. But, once your car is running properly, you really feel sorry for the joe smoes running around in their little 'sporty' poorly designed, unsafe, and unreliable American cars.

These cars will eat up lots of miles at high speeds. Get a radar detector. Once your car is in proper running order in all respects, you will daily shake your head as do I, and say, "I can't believe this is an 18 year old car!

Good luck and if you have more questions, we'll help.

Best Regards,

Randy

Hi Jerry,

I paid $1,450 for mine last year (here is a pic - will have more on my site soon). Since purchased, here is what I put in her as an example. Haven't added up the dollars, and am even more afraid to calculate the hours.

New fluids of course: tranny, coolant, oil, brakes, etc.

New plugs, wires, thermoswitch, coolant sender, coolant switch, thermostat, thermostat housing (bleeder screw was broken off flush), fuel pressure regulator, K&N filter, vacuum lines, alternator mounting bracket, inside rearview mirror, brake sender, high pressure PS lines, battery cable, tires, headlights,
