The rear windows will not operate from the rear switches, but they will work from the console switches. The "on - off" switch on the console is disconnected, otherwise it will blow fuse #27. There are 2 wires (red & red/yellow)that connect to the "on - off" switch in the console. The red has 12 volts. I guess the red/yellow is shorted. What is the best way to troubleshoot? I checked the red/yellow wire from the rear door to the pillar and it's ok. After that the wires go up to the dashboard.


I've not got an on/off switch that controls the rear window switches on my 86. What year are you troubleshooting?
