After replacing all 6 Electrolytic Capacitors and reflowing all solder joints under a microscope and throughly cleaning all contacts on the instrument cluster, my tach still doesn't work. I compared the resistance readings on both pickups at the under hood connector, within 3 ohms of each other. The only mystery left is does any body know which wires on which connector the signal arrives at the instrument cluster on? And also where does the cable go once it enters the car through the firewall?

If this checks out I will give in and replace the tach module.
