Ok on the front by the Engine,
where the Coolant hoses come in you
will see all kinds of sensors,
but only one with 2-separate plugs on top,
that is your "Temp Sesor/warning contact"
check it for loose or cracket wire first,
it should be the one closest to the drivers side.

I personally do not trust the ohm testing of it,
its kind of like replaiceing the thermostat,
but really check to make sure of contacts first.

Sincerely Jens

thanks, Jens for responding so quickly. On the thermostat housing there is a brown, bluish and another sensor. I checked this third one: it had two plugs, one with two wires and one with one wire only. I cleaned the contacts yet the gauge still does not work. Should I buy a new sensor?
