Front end looseness: two spots are causing Klaus to klunk up front: splines on steering wheel shaft have play. Stut bearings are shot. Add bearings to list, don't know what to do about splines? Does the big nut tighten them?

Cluster issues. Removed cluster again after replacing batters and had a good luck at the boards under a loupe. Good god! Every solder joint on the board is cracked! I resoldered both boards and reinstalled. Inspection board is working. Speedo (and all speed functions, i.e., cruise, obc speed calculations, speedo, and odo) still not working. Checked and cleaned connection at speed sensor on diff. Still no speedo. Faulty board? Faulty speed sensor?

Take a break in right rear passenger seat...There is a seat control in the arm rest for the front passenger seat! Ah, too cool!!

Take for a spin. Engine cuts out at full throttle. Seems like a fuel delivery problem. Thought it might be the turbo cut off, but it occurs even at a stop light. I can stall the engine by putting my foot to the floor. From idle, or any engine speed. Seems like it is running out of fuel, but it quits too fast, almost seems electrical since RPM guage drops like a rock when it cuts out. When it does cut out, if I keep my foot to the floor, the engine will die. While coasting, if I let off the accelerator, the engine will bump start back to idle.

Still learning about this beast!

Scottie
