After an exhausting search I was able to locate the exact point where the signal enters the Instrument cluster. On the 273 style Battery board in enters on pin 8 on the Blue connector. I was able to verify that it gets all the way to the Tach itself...but it still doesn't work, must be bad. The signal itself is a square wave with a lot of ringing on the trailing edge.
If any body has a Tach for this car, I am interested in purchasing.
