Hi ppl,
My mechanic finally removed the cylinder head and took a peek underneath.... and there is some good news for me. The piston is not damaged and the rod isn't bent. Also, the mechanic was really surprised to see minimal cylinder wall wear in the engine, he said the "ridge" ( where the piston stops before going down again) is virtually non-existant!!!!. I'm proud of that car ! ( 197,000 KM )...
On that basis , he's only gonna send the cylinder head to the machine shop and not the whole engine....and the question i'd like to ask , is how do I make sure that the head really needs to be sent to the shop ?????? What do I need to check ? etc...
For those who don't know what's wrong with my engine, the two rocker arms on cylinder number one got broken after a stint on the highway with a v-tec prelude guy ( kicked his ass ! )...the intake valve and the exhaust valves have to be replaced.(bent).

So please if you know about cylinder head rebuilding/machining explain to me the process/need for this job. Any info is much appreciated guys.

P.S: won't the tight-rebuilt cylinder head affect my lower engine ????

Adel,
Not to pat myself on the back, but isn't this what I told you probably happened.
