Check for oil-leaks, if the engine leaks a litle oil and it hits the exheust pibes it developes smoke when the pibes get hot.

This is really odd and it started yesterday. If the car has been sitting all night (home in the garage) or all day (work).

After driving for a couple of minutes there is a bit of white smoke coming from underneath the car, somewhere near the exhaust pipe, and after a minute or so it goes away. The car is running perfectly, no hesitation or anything weird, just this bit of smoke - it was enough to force me to the side of the road and open the hood. It looked like it was coming from underneath the car, just behind the firewall around the exhaust system. Any clues?
